Jessica Steen

 

Jessica Steen is a Canadian actress in television and film. She is known for her appearances in Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future, Homefront, Earth 2, Armageddon, Left Behind: World at War, NCIS, Flashpoint and the CBC series Heartland.



 



 Personal life



 Jessica Steen was born in Toronto, Ontario, the daughter of Joanna Noyes, an actress, and Jan Steen, a director and actor. Steen is of Dutch, Scottish and Irish descendance.



 



 Steen Apart from her career in entertainment, is an environmentalist and an advocate for animal rights. Steen is a strong supporter of David Suzuki, the World Society for the Protection of Animals and the Western Canadian Wilderness Committee, in addition to other groups. She is a qualified diver and skilled in several circus arts such as fire-twirling stilt-walking and fire-twirling.
